Rockbridge Academy students are taught critical thinking with a Christ-centered worldview. Our goal is not to worry about tests and skills, but rather to master the tools of learning and build critical thinking methodologies so as to become life-long learners who glorify God. We believe this is a Biblical approach to education, and God has richly blessed our teachers and students as they labored diligently in these efforts. Listed below are some historical and recent student accomplishments:
PSAT/NMSQT UPDATE
To date, Rockbridge has graduated seven classes. While these graduating classes have been small, the students' achievements and academic excellence have been outstanding as a result of the classical Christian learning environment in Rockbridge’s classrooms. Of our total 69 seniors in the combined graduating classes, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has commended 20 students, 2 have been National Merit finalists, and one was a National Achievement finalist...this is a 33% ratio! Commended students place among the top 5% of more than 1.3 million juniors who take the PSAT/NMSOT each year, and finalists are in the top 1%! Additionally, we've had several seniors receive perfect 800’s on sections of the SAT!
